17 Shot Dead and 18 Injured At Outdoor Birthday Party in La Quinta Italia Inn Torreón Mexico

An injured victim later died at a hospital raising the dead toll to 18

Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico - On early Sunday, a group of assailants interrupted a birthday party and fatally shot 17 people and injured 18 inside the La Quinta Italia Inn in Torreón. State police say, a group of men crashed the outdoor party at about 1:15 a.m., sprayed gunfire at everyone and then fled.
The victims range in ages between 20-38 and 10 men and five women were killed in the assault. 116 spent ammo .223 Cal. cartridges and eight 7.62 Cal. cartridges were recovered at the crime scene, according to the state Attorney's General Office (PGR).
The dead victims were identified as Ricardo Reyes Encinas, 38, Enrique González Hernández, 30, Juan Jesús García González, 35, Alejandro Rivas Ríos, 33, Héctor Rivas Ríos, 23, Sandra Liliana Mejía Sarmiento, 20, Jesús Silva Muñoz, 27, María Fernanda Máynez Sanjuan, 25, Diego Aguilar García, 22, Emanuel Alejandro Ruiz Orona, 25, and 7 other unidentified victims.
Another injured victim died later at a hospital raising the number of victims to 18.
