Culver, CA - Two posted political Youtube videos by California based Brave New Foundation/Cuéntame exposes three major corporations, GEO Group, Corrections Corporation of America and Management and Training Corporation operating 200 private prisons nationally with 1,500 beds, with a combined profit over $5 billion a year by holding illegal immigrants at $200 each per day. The private run prison corporations have paid over $20 million lobbying Republican controlled legislatures in states to implement similar Arizona immigration enforcement laws like SB 1070 to ensure access to more illegal immigrant detainees. Illegal immigrants being processed and held in detention boosts revenues and huge profits for these private prisons.
