Teenagers Discovered Man Bleeding At Mitchell Park In Milwaukee

Man intoxicated falls and injures himself.

Milwaukee - On Thursday, firefighters from Engine 26 responded to a call of an unidentified man bleeding at Mitchell Park in Milwaukee's South side. Firefighters found the injured man at the outdoor stage area by some concrete stairs, about 500 feet from the Pavillion. The man was rendered aid, but firefighters notice the he was intoxicated and couldn't stand by himself. He lost some blood from a cut near one of his eyes when he fell down.
A group of about eight teenagers walking through the outdoor park stage noticed the injured man and call 911.
Another man walked up to a Milwaukee County Sheriff deputy who also responded to the call and told the deputy that there was another man knocked out and laying on the West side of the Pavillion by a tree. The man by the Pavillion was unresponsive.
On Tuesday, a dive team from Engine 26 recovered a body of an unidentified man at about 9:30 p.m. from the Mitchell Park lagoon. The drowned victim had been in the lagoon for about a half an hour. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office when contacted said, the name of the drowned victim was being withheld by request of the sheriff's department pending an investigation and notification of family members.
