Ferrer-Arenas, Venezuelan Model Discovered Fatally Shot In The Head In Jalisco Canal

Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico - The State of Jalisco Attorney General, Tomás Coronado Olmos has confirmed that police in Guadalajara found the body of Daysi Yenireé Ferrer Arenas, 24, from Venezuela in a remote Guadalajara canal. Arenas apparently was shot in the head and then discarded in a remote ditch. She went missing on December 14, after visiting a bar in Guadalajara.

Arenas' body was discovered around 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday and near her body an immigration document (FM3) with information that she worked for the Kiu Models Agency was also found confirming her identity, according to Olmos.

On Thursday afternoon, the Kiu Models Agency removed Arenas modeling profile and all her photos from their website.

The family of Arenas is expected to arrive in Guadalajara on December 29, to recover her body, according to Olmos.
