Bensenville, Illinois - Police canceled an early Amber Alert abduction for 18-month-old Kimberly Delgado who was believed to be abducted by a car thief. Delgado went missing around 12:40 a.m. on Thursday after her mother left her in the vehicle at the 900 block of Irving Park Rd. while she went into the foyer of an apartment building to talk to a friend.
A car thief apparently noticed Delgado mother's car running, unattended and the thief drove off with it while the child was inside. Police located the vehicle with the child inside just before 7:00 a.m. and canceled the Amber Alert.
Police suspect that the thief didn't notice Delgado inside when the vehicle was stolen. She was found safe, according to police.
