Perez-Guillermo also tried to shoot his wife, but the gun misfired. Perez-Guillermo was then stabbed by his son multiple times.
He then fled the scene on a red SUV, but crashed with a parked vehicle at the 1800 block of S. 13th St. A passerby called police and reported the accident after noticing Perez-Guillermo bleeding in the driver's seat.
