Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) noticed that the Telemundo Wisconsin Facebook page account had added a posting about Raul Espinosa, 6, who was killed on May 21, by a Lakeside School bus on S Cesar E. Chavez Drive. The posting had about 106 comments by Facebook (FB) users, especially some dated May 23, from Linda Morenita, an annonymous user who seemed to personally launch an attack on Espinosa's mother, Aurora Mejia.
Linda Morenita alleged that Mejia sold drugs, picked up men at a local bar, was a neglectful mother, was receiving food stamps, was unemployed and was getting aid from the government for Espinosa's autism condition. Mejia is currently married and according to her Facebook account posted multiple photos of Espinosa showing her unconditional love for him and her kids.
Mejia responded to Linda Morenita comments and dismissed her allegations and says she doesn't know the identity of Linda Morenita (La Shorty).
HNNUSA contacted CBS 58 who manages Telemundo 63 and asked about the Telemundo Wisconsin Facebook page posting about Espinosa's death news item and its comments. A Spanish speaking sales person for Telemundo said, it was a long weekend and no one had monitored the postings. But someone in the Telemundo 63 production who can't speak or read Spanish monitors their FB page and would look into it.
Mejia when contacted by HNNUSA on Tuesday said, that she doesn't know why Telemundo Wisconsin kept the false comments posted by Linda Morenita on their FB page without checking, if it was an anonymous FB user. Mejia is still waiting for her child's body to be released by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office, so funeral services can take place.
No other comments were made by Telemundo or CBS 58.

(Update)

Telemundo Wisconsin removed the comment thread that included comments deemed slanderous targeted at Espinosa's mother, Aurora Mejia shortly after Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) reported on Telemundo Wisconsin Facebook page lack of proper monitoring of comments made by Linda Morenita, an annonymous Facebook user.
Telemundo 63 also after posting a notice that the comment thread was taken off, the news posting was then removed and reposted. (HNNUSA)
