Stephon M. Mosley Arrested In Connection With Sexual Assault Of A 10-year-old Girl

Mosley is facing sexual assault and attempted rape charges of a 10-year-old girl in Milwaukee's Southside.

Milwaukee, WI - On Wednesday, Stephon M. Mosley, 26, was taken into custody by police after a tip led to his arrest in connection to Tuesday's sexual assault and attempted rape of a 10-year-old girl in Milwaukee's Southside on S. 15 Pl. and W. Orchard St. Police released a photo of Mosley buying an item at a local grocery store on S. 11 St. and W. Greenfield Ave. Once the photo was aired on local mainstream TV media on Wednesday, it went viral on Facebook. Within hours, police began to receive information that identified the suspect and led them to his Facebook account. He was arrested on Wednesday night.
Mosley is accused of attempting to rape a St. Martin Lutheran School 10-year-old student. The girl was walking to school and was attacked by Mosley. He pulled her behind a home and threatened to kill her, if she screamed.
The girl screamed and a neighbor saw Mosley attempting to sexually assault the victim around 8:45 a.m. The neighbor, Wendy Rodríguez Díaz yelled at Mosley from a building across the street and when she came down, she notice that Mosley had his pants down and then fled the scene. 
Police said, that Mosley had fled North to W. Greenfield Ave. and was wearing a bright red baseball cap, had a dark hooded jacket and weight at least 300 pounds.
Mosley has not been charged, but charges of sexual assault and attempted rape are pending.
Mosley was convicted in 2008 for felony robbery with use of force. He pleaded guilty and received two years probation, according to court records.
