West Allis, WI - The Milwaukee County District Attorney's office issued an arrest warrant for Alberto E. Rivera, 36, a convicted felon. Rivera is accused for possessing a weapon during a commission of an alleged homicide on April 8, 2015 at the 1300 block of S. 57th Street in West Allis.
The criminal complaint states, that Rivera fatally shot Henry L. Hodges, 37, in the head and then shot a 20-year-old woman in the head, but only grazed her. The bullet went through her wrists after Rivera told her to cover her face with her hands and then shot her at point blank. The woman was left for dead inside an SUV in an alley behind a grocery store. Rivera was with another male accomplice and fled the scene.
The woman told police that Hodges and her had gone to a Northside residence and Rivera with another suspect managed to take Hodges hostage by tying his hands and covering his mouth. The suspects took the victims to an alley in West Allis and were shot, with Hodges being killed.
The suspects apparently wanted money, according to the surviving victim.
Police have not identified the second suspect, but do know who they are looking for in connection with the homicide.
