Cristo Rey, Sinaloa, Mexico - The Sinaloa State Attorney General's office reported that 4 Sinaloa State Police Officers and 2 Escuinapa Municipal Police Officers have been taken into custody and stripped from their duties in connection with the January 27 execution of a male victim by gunmen in the municipality of Escuinapa. A video began to circulate on Saturday in the social networks showing corrupt officers running down a street in the Township of Cristo Rey and getting into their marked police vehicles and fleeing a residential section while a woman recorded the events on her cellphone.
The woman can be heard telling someone to grab a knife and to go puncture the tires of the vehicles so they can't leave the scene.
Moments later, the video shows some unidentified gunmen grabbing a male victim from inside a home and forcing him outside in front of family members as other spectators watched too. The gunmen are then seen beside their vehicles and shots are heard fatally striking the victim multiple times on the street while the family becomes frantic, crying and screaming as they are helpless and defenseless to aid the victim.
