Emilio H. Navaira III Remembered As The King Of Tejano Music In San Antonio

Thousands of fans are mourning the unexpected death of Tejano icon singer Emilio H. Navaira III in Texas.

San Antonio, Texas - On Sunday, funeral services at the Free Coliseum began for Tejano icon singer Emilio H. Navaira III, 53, who was known as the King of Tex-Mex style of music in San Antonio. Navaira was found Monday by family members unconscious and not breathing last week and was declared deceased. A preliminary police report indicated that Navaira died from natural causes, but the Comal County Medical Examiner's Office performed an autopsy to determine cause of death. Family friends indicate Navaira suffered a massive heart attack.
Thousands of fans are mourning the untimely death of Navaira and burial services will take place on Monday, according to the Navaira family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at San Fernando Cathedral, 115 W. Main Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205, on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
