Harlingen, Texas - On Friday, the family of Tejano singing icon Jessy Serrata, 63, announced that Serrata had passed away. Serrata lost his battle with stage 3 kidney cancer, which he was hospitalized in April and later released under treatment.
Serrata singing career includes 17 albums and was nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards in 2004. RIP
